We are situated on
Rowley Lane at the Borehamwood side of Arkley. The entrance to the main
sports club is about 100 yards up from the width restrictions just inside Rowley
Lane from the A1 turn-off at the bridge.
The site was formerly
owned by the Laing Group until 2003 and is still affectionately referred to
locally as 'Laings'. Upon the sale of the site we had to re-name our club
and duly came up with 'Rowley Lane Bowls Club'.
We are a mixed club with
around 70 members. We have regular weekend and midweek friendly match
fixtures together with Club, District and County Competitions that all take
place during the season. In the winter months there is an excellent
Tuesday night social meeting with games and quizzes and a chance to catch up
with friends.
We don't have a waiting list to join and are always
looking for new members, so if you are interested in joining or have always had
the urge to have a go at bowling then give us a call! We welcome men and
women, experienced bowlers or absolute beginners, and have two qualified
coaches to steer you through the game and the rules and a welcome that will make
you come back! Call Stuart on 01923 460065 or Enid on 020 8386
